I love the Pure Neemo 1/6th body, and have used it to good effect on some of my Blythes by doing a body swap. Many people have asked me about the bodies, so I thought I would answer most of those questions here.

Q: How poseable are the bodies?
A: The Pure Neemo Advance Body is incredibly easy to pose. Although it does not bend like a Blythe or Licca body at the legs or arms, the joints are articulated. This means that you can turn them through 180° on one axis. They are jointed at the Neck, Shoulder, Upper Arm, Waist, Hip, and Upper Thigh.

Q: If you cannot bend them, how do you get straight legs and sitting legs like in your photos?
A: You buy the bodies in different poses, Standing ,Sitting, Seiza and Alternate Sitting. They are detailed in the pictures below.

Q: So I have to buy different bodies to get different poses?
A: Yes, but you don’t have to buy them all. All the parts are completely interchangeable and compatible with all the types available.

Q: Wow, that F Type has big boobs!
A: Yes, the F Type is designed as an Older Sister or Adult style of bust – very popular in Japan.

Q: Is it easy to change bodies on my Blythe?
A: Very. Just unscrew the back of your Blythe’s head, take out the old body, and place the new body in, ensuring the little plastic ledges inside the neck hole are in between the new Neck post and Neck of the Pure Neemo Body.

There is a really good discussion group over at Flickr. And There is a discussion group specifically for the new Body Types (E, F and Flection).

The new Flection type has jointed knees, ankles and elbows, negating the need to buy more parts or bodies.

    Noodle Slide

    Noodle Slide

This awesome object is from Bandai – the same people who make Transformers and ReMent.

Basically, it’s a noodle slide – the noodles slide down in a stream of water, to land in a dish that has an inbuilt strainer.

The noodles come out of the tiny house at the top – how kawaii is that?

Bandai are selling these for ¥8,400. You’ll never have to drag your kids to the kitchen table again!

I’ll be trying to get one of these on my next trip to Japan.

    Easter

    Posted in: Australia

I’m not a religious person, so the only reason I celebrate Christian Holidays is that my Government forces me to take the days off work, and shuts down the entire country for them. I don’t really understand why we celebrate the holy days of one religion, and not those of another, but that’s just how Australia is.

I use these holidays as a time to recover and relax with family and friends. To reconnect with people, who like most of us, are so busy during the rest of the year that these holidays are the only time we can get to spends hours together.

Because I cannot actually see my family at Easter as they live on the opposite side of the country, I spend time with close friends, and my Husband’s family. Husband’s family tend to have a huge family gathering that consists of about 30 people or more, all bringing a dish to complement the Host Family’s already beautiful spread of delicious food. We exchange eggs, eat a wonderful meal, catch up on new happenings, and reminisce about old happenings.

All in all, it’s rather a lovely thing to do when you all have the same day off from the mundane routine of daily life.

    Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you too spent time with those you love.

The reason for no posts in the past little while, is that the bandwidth for my internet connection at home has been throttled.

Basically, living in Australia – broadband means you get really OK speeds (nothing like you get in Japan or North America) until you use your pitiful allotted quota of bandwidth for the month, and then you are slapped hard on the wrist with a wet wooden ruler and your internet speed is cut back to that of a 1992 modem.

You may think I joke, but I do not. I have been unable to view photos on Flickr, read my favourite websites or even simply watch a single YouTube video. It’s been a LOLcat free zone and for that reason alone I hate how Broadband is metered out here in Australia.

I actually have spent the time a little productively. I have around 100 photos to upload to flickr, not all Blythe related (mostly cars actually), a new website design for a client to go live and a new design in the works for here, as promised.

This site will commence to be mirrored at Pixelkitty.net as well, because it’s the longest running domain name I’ve ever owned, and I feel I’m neglecting it.

Check back next week for updates, photos and pretty colours.
