Ever since seeing this Panda-Z photo, I’ve been enamoured with the little robot panda controlled by a real panda.

I plotted all the places in Nakano, Osaka and Tokyo I would search for this intriguing little guy when I go in February - intricate maps and searches of toy shops took all my time.

How was I to know that Panda-Z was waiting for me in a discount bargain bin in an Elizabeth Street store here in Melbourne?

Meet Panda - my very first Panda-Z:

So all she needs now is a little haircut, but this is finished for the moment.

Kitty-chan received a new head of heat proof saran weft. Unfortunately, my store is now out of stock of this item, but I’ll be getting more soon for those of you who want it. Don’t be shy in requesting colour or types!

My Primadolly Ashlette was also re-wefted with heat proof weft - this is a curly weft in pink and white. Isn’t she pretty?

I know some people think I am more than a little too old for this stuff, but I so want a pair of these ears to wear while I’m out and about in Tokyo next year!

I’ve been trying to track down dolly events happening in Japan while I’m there next year, and the wonderful atelier matin has given me the details of a show he is exhibiting at in Osaka!

The I-Doll West Vol.6 will be happening on 24 Feb 2008, at MyDome and I can’t wait to go. Apparently it’s a very large show with Blythe, BJD, Lati, Volks, Obitsu and so much more on display and for sale.

Amazingly talented people like atelier matin will have booths to show and sell their wares.

How excitement!

So we now have an apartment to stay in while in Tokyo. Three weeks living in the burbs like everyone else. Can’t wait!

My favourite purveyors of all things cute & Japanese, have just released a bunch of new cellphones for your cellphone!

OK, we call them Mobile Phones here in Australia, but that doesn’t make me appreciate these tiny little phones that you attach to your real phone any less.

I use a Motorola V3x, so wouldn’t mind that little pink one you see in the picture. Or maybe some of those cute lime and orange ones? At around AU$4, they are so hard to resist!

I might get a few for my Blythe dolls. They are so cheap, that you should too

These super kawai Hello Kitty Pirates are the best!

Play with a friend, taking turns to stab the barrel with your sword, whoever makes Kitty-chan jump from the barrel wins!

Kitty-chan comes in blue, black, yellow and pink - but you can also get Stitch, Minni Mouse and the original Pirate.

Now, where did I put my eye-patch?

I am a huge fan of these minature Rement sets. In case you haven’t come across these before, come in little blind boxes with candy and the toys pictured.

This set features the cutest little piggy rice cooker, the most adorable bunny blender (!) and more.

Being newly addicted to all things vinyl, I was incredibly pleased to watch my Mum go gaga for the Dunny series by KidRobot. While visiting last week, she purchased a bunch of them from Robio to go on her fridge.

I keep my little blind box vinyl’s on my computer, where I can look at them for inspiration.
